Yvonne is an actor of Black and Filippina descent. She is also a film investor, philanthropist and mother of three. She is inspired by the female experience and seeks to elevate both female-driven narratives and women’s perspectives. Fearless in her pursuit of authentic and original works, she is passionate about the power of storytelling to both entertain and foment social change. As an actor on stage, she was most recently seen in SAFE HARBOR by Tira Palmquist with Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble, where she is an artistic associate. She was also in Lower Depth's critically acclaimed BR’ER COTTON by Tearrance Arvelle Chisolm. For this role, she was nominated for 2019 NAACP Best Actress (Intimate Theatre). This year, Yvonne wrapped on indie film G.O.D., written and directed by Addison Henderson. She is in the film and an executive producer. She also starred alongside Harry Dean Stanton in his career final film LUCKY, which was distributed by Magnolia Pictures in 2017. Other film and television credits include BEYOND THE PRETTY DOOR, BARRY MUNDAY, PARENTHOOD, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, POPCORN among others.
Yvonne is co-founder of Lagralane Group, a film investment and development company with husband, Jason Delane Lee. This year, Yvonne executive produced the Berlinale world premiere THE BODY REMEMBERS WHEN THE WORLD BROKE OPEN as well as Sundance darling THE INFILTRATORS through Lagralane Group. Lagralane is an EP on Roger Ross Williams's THE APOLLO, which opened the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival and air on HBO. The company wrapped on short film, LIFELINE, written and co-directed by Jason Delane Lee. The husband/wife team also star in the short. Other Lagralane indie narrative and documentary projects include NIGHT COMES ON; UNREST (2018 Oscar short listed); ICARUS (2018 Oscar winner), SERVED LIKE A GIRL; STEP, TROPHY, DINA; VOYEUR; THIS IS HOME; and the Tony award-winning broadway production, THE COLOR PURPLE. Yvonne serves on the board of Array Alliance, Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble, Chicago Media Project and the advisory board of the National Center of Exploited and Missing Children.
