ABOUT
Yvonne (she/hers) brings boundless creativity and infectious enthusiasm to her work as an actor, director, and producer of Black and Filipino descent. When she's not casually collecting accolades or transforming the entertainment landscape, her passion for storytelling shines through in every project, whether she's illuminating female-driven narratives or championing diverse perspectives. As co-founder of Lagralane Group with her husband Jason Delane Lee, she has cultivated a vibrant creative space where powerful stories flourish and meaningful social change takes root (while making it all look effortless).
Her magnetic screen presence and versatility as an actor have led to memorable performances, including her spirited collaboration with Harry Dean Stanton in his final film *Lucky*. On stage, she lights up productions like *Safe Harbor* with Lower Depth Theatre, where she serves as both artistic associate and founding member. Her dynamic portrayal in Lower Depth's *Br'er Cotton* captivated audiences and critics alike, earning her a 2019 NAACP Best Actress nomination for Intimate Theatre.
With an adventurous creative spirit and an apparent ability to bend time (how else does she do it all?), Yvonne has embraced producing, bringing her imaginative vision to an impressive array of groundbreaking projects. Her executive producer portfolio sparkles with innovative works including Givers of Death (G.O.D.), This is Home, Night Comes On, the emotionally resonant The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open, Rebecca Hall's stunning Passing, The Big Payback with Color Farm Media, and the eagerly anticipated Lisa Cortes documentary The Empire of Ebony.
Her directorial debut Ownership has taken the festival circuit by storm, winning Best Short Film at the 2024 Urban Media Maker Film Festival, earning Runner-up honors at the 2025 Denton Black Film Festival, securing a Best Short Film nomination at the 2025 San Diego Film Festival, and earning an official selection at the prestigious Pan-African Film Festival, the nation's longest-running Black film festival. Her keen eye for storytelling also led her to executive produce the 2024 Oscar-shortlisted Bienvenidos A Los Angeles. As if that weren't enough to keep her busy, Yvonne and Jason co-host Lagralane Group's podcast exploring cocktails, culture, and identity, with their third season venturing into Kentucky's bourbon country – because sometimes changing the world requires a good drink.
When she's not crafting stories that move and inspire (or perfecting her bourbon palate for "research purposes"), Yvonne channels her energetic spirit into service on the boards of Array Alliance and Lower Depth Theatre. She finds daily inspiration in the joy of creation, whether she's developing new projects, mentoring emerging talents, or sharing precious moments with Jason and their three children. Through it all, she maintains an infectious optimism that creativity and storytelling can transform not just entertainment but the world itself.
